Twittelicious!!

Delicious has taken a step forward in bookmarking by integrating it with twitter, thus realizing the true potential of social networking. I’m simply loving the new features provided in delicious like the stacks, where a collection of links are built around a common theme, which can include the collector’s commentary. They are indeed a  great way to present a more dynamic view of links rather than, say, a tag search result!! I had infact stopped using delicious for quite sometime now, and a revisit to the site just got me into it..

Information is the key and Delicious had just enhanced it by collating what you like in one place. You could follow feeds of people, follow their stacks, share stacks etc….Incredible!!

try it, its indeed delicious!!!

Ek Deewana tha – Movie review

Ek deewana tha , in a nut shell is a remake of the Tamil movie  Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya; a narration of the boys love story(Sachin) who is directing a movie based on his love life; Sachin is from a middle class Brahmin family, a mechanical engineering student and a movie buff. He falls in love with this Owners daughter who is a mallu Christian (Jessie), from an orthodox family and is an year elder to him.. Typical love story from the past huh!!  Though the movie was a hit in regional language, I doubt it would be the same with the hindi version

Well,  the biggest flaw in the movie is the script and the way it portrays the emotions of the girl who is clueless of her feelings for the guy. Which instantly made me to think, the title of the movie should have been “ek bechaara tha”…? The songs of the movie are also average, with only Hosanna being kind of catch. Rest of the songs are just accommodated in the movie for the sake of it and do not have link to the story… The twist in the story that the climax brings leaves the viewers surprised or rather confused for a moment.

Having said that, credit has to be given to the costume designer of Jessie – Amy Jackson… she looks  pretty in the indian attire and carries herself well in the movie; atleast with her smile and saree look.. if not for anything, she will keep you glued to your seat in the theaters.. :)

Rating : 3 / 5; I’m being a bit generous here only because I loved the looks of Amy Jackson in the movie.

if you are not doing anything on a weekend and just want to watch a movie for the heck of it, then this is the movie for you!! Well there are no other good movies playing too ;-)

Movie Review – Ek Main Aur Ek Tu…

Ek Mein Aur Ek tu

Watched this movie yesterday at Cinemax. I did go with some expectations  to this movie given that it was a Rom- Com, first time casting of Kareena – Imran, Songs etc…But was indeed disappointed since there was no element of romance between the cast couple (friends); It seriously lacked “romance” in the movie. It was more of a story b/w “friends”, and the guy who “thinks” he is fallen in love with her when he listens to “Kuch Kuch Hotha hai song (if i am not wrong)  from her iPOD..duh!!!

The movie is about two extremes, Imran who plays Rahul whose upbringing  is upscale, uptight, fussy, lackluster and Kareena Kapoor who plays Riana Braganza, a carefree, happy go lucky girl …  The story starts with the two spending an evening together in Vegas and then evolving in platonic relationship if I may… The saving grace for the movie are the cheezy comical dialogues and some catchy numbers. As a line in the movie goes – ” Tum perfect average ho, na kuch zyada na kuch kam”; the movie does justice to the line; its an perfect average movie to sum it all .

If there is an award  category for Best expressionless performance; then it has to be Imran Khan for this movie

An overall viewers rating of (2+1)/5; it gets an extra 1 only for the songs in the movie..
